Spring 2026

I love springtime! It is an amazing time of year! The days are becoming longer…and warmer! New growth appears everywhere we look. The occasional days of rain replenish our water supply and sustain the fresh shoots of the new plants and flowers that will soon cover the land with their joy and beauty and fill the air with their magnificent smells. It is a wonderful time to witness the Life Principle in action in nature! 

It is an exciting time, also, to reaffirm that very Life Principle acting in, as, and through us! We know that Life is forever coursing through our being, and the Absolute Consciousness that we call God, or Spirit, or a host of other names continues to sustain each of us as it always has, and will continue to do, eternally. We are an integral part of that nature we talk about. We, like every other thing in existence, live and move and have our being in that Absolute Consciousness that grounds all being. Spirit. 

Remembering this, re-cognizing it (so to speak), it is no wonder that our step has a little more spring in it, our smiles are a little brighter, and the optimism that accompanies new life fills our hearts with renewed certainty about our place in the cosmos. We are here because we belong here. We are here because we are made of the same substance that the entire universe, and all it contains, is made of. The famed astronomer Carl Sagan, in the 1980s, told us we are made of star stuff. We are. We are made of the only substance that exists. That is the substance of God, from which all that is created is made. We are truly spiritual beings having a human experience.  

Imagine that! We are made of the substance of the Divine Creator! We are also powered, driven, and informed by the only Power there is – God Power! We are indeed made in the image and likeness of God. It is because we are made in that image and likeness that we share in the creative process. In the same manner that each of us is a thought in the Mind of God, our thoughts, too, are creative, and they create the things that populate our world. That is why we say, “Thoughts are things.” 

Of course, this is true year-round, through every season, yet in Spring I think it is more in the forefront of our minds because we see so much new life come into being and are lovingly sustained by the Life Principle we call God. Isn’t that amazing?!? 

Summer 2025 Musings

Someone once said, “A life without love is like a year without summer.” This sentiment draws our awareness to just how significant and important this summer season is. 

The sun shines brightly, the days are long, and life in all its aspects is in full bloom. So many incredible life-affirming things unfold naturally, bringing joy and happiness into our lives. It’s a time for community, spontaneity, and adventure. Concerts in the park, picnics and bar-b-ques, camping, hiking, lazing on the beach, and all manner of recreation and relaxation fill our days. And yes, the love that is so important. From loving all the fabulous activities and opportunities, to summer romances, to full-orbed love and gratitude for the One Power and One Presence that has created everything for our enjoyment and benefit.

 While we are reflecting on the joys of summer, it is important to recognize and remember that the gifts of summer, like all the other gifts we are blessed to receive, are gratis. Free. Ours for the taking. We need only to open our hearts in acceptance and enjoy the riches of this season. The long, bright, warm days filled with excitement, love, and satisfaction are analogous to those periods when our awareness of the oneness of all life reunites our individual souls with the eternal, infinite Consciousness that grounds all being.

Life has gifted us beyond measure. Against all odds, several trillion cells have joined together to manifest as each of us so we could enjoy our time in the sun. We are all rays of the one infinite, eternal light. We are all driven and informed by the One Power, each in our own way according to our understanding and awareness of the Life Principle that created and sustains us. Some of us refer to this power as Spirit, some refer to it as God, others as Life.

“A rose by any other name…” as Shakespeare said. Let’s not bog down in language. Let’s just give gratitude to the god of our understanding for the gift of life and the opportunity to bask in the sun together. We are a community of One. A unit. The sonship. Conceived and created as individualized expressions of the One Power and animated by the One Presence. This is our summer. Our time in the sun. We are flowers in the same garden, each of us adding to the beauty of the whole. Each of us is necessary to the whole. Each of us has “the reason for the season.”  And so it is.

Spring is in the Air

Which is to say, “Love is in the air!” We can also say, “Life is in the air,” or “New growth is in the air.” This is the time for all of this, and more. All of creation is reborn in Spring; we see it everywhere, in the fields, in the parks, in the gardens, and virtually everywhere we look.

     What a fantastic time to reconnect with all that is! What a great time to remember that the Life Principle is always at work, creating new, wondrous things for our benefit. Creation is always unfolding in new works, new ideas, new concepts, and new beginnings. It is also continually providing opportunities for rebirth and growth for each of us personally and spiritually.

     Spring marks the fading out of winter and gives us a glimpse of the coming of summer with its promise of warmth and joy. In the same manner that this holds for our natural worldly environment, it holds for our minds, our hearts, and our souls, also.

     Whatever mental or emotional winter has been upon us, we can declare, announce, and manifest an end to it and a new beginning within. It is, after all, within each of us that the power of creation has been divinely placed. The power to overcome any obstacle, lack, or limitation that seems to be slowing our progress toward our greater-yet-to-be is inherent in us. The winter of thoughts of not-enough, less than, or separate-from don’t stand a chance of survival when we recognize and wield the spiritual awareness that we are endowed with.

     We are emanations of the creator-God, direct descendants of Life, made in the image and likeness thereof, and as such, we have the power to create and direct our lives. All of the beauty, joy, and goodness of life is ours by divine birthright. Let’s make this our spiritual spring, recognizing and uniting with the infinite and eternal Source of all creation, co-creating with It for our highest and best good and for the highest and best good of all others. Know this Truth. Be this Truth. Live it!
