Hello Spring!
It’s great to see you! It’s such a thrill to see all those signs of new life and new growth that mark this time of year as special. Plants are growing, flowers are blooming, and the landscape is once again glowing with bright, lively colors. Creatures and critters, large and small, are birthing off-spring, and the cycle of Life is on full display.
Vitality is returning to our social life, as well. We are grateful for the safety protocols put in place over the last two years, and for the development of medical means to help combat the pandemic that has been so disruptive. We are finally turning the corner on the Covid-19 situation and are finding new “comfort zones” that work for most of us.
We are creatures of community. The social aspects of our lives that have been “put on hold” for the past couple of years have been dearly missed. We are social animals and we need community. We are all aspects of each other – pieces of the whole – and as such, we need interaction and togetherness.
Thankfully, this Spring finds us able to somewhat resume our social, business, and educational gatherings that are such necessary parts of life. Everyone seems to be re-entering “life” at their own pace, and that’s fine. Welcome to those who are ready to jump back in fully, and to those who wish to take it slower, take your time, we’ll wait for you.
The poet John Donne famously said, “No man is an island…” meaning we are all part of the sonship. We are all part of the “only begotten child” of God and we will eternally be in that relationship with one another and with the Divine.
This Spring – right now – the sun seems to be shining just a little brighter than it did the last two Springs. It’s great to be back together, where we belong!
